RIYADH: The girls section at Riyadh Education recently organized an exhibition-cum-worksop on teaching aids to help teachers face learning difficulties in schools.
The event was attended by Nahla Al-Subaie, the supervisor and director of the ‘multiple disability’ unit at the Special Education Department and Tagreed bint Saja, a senior supervisor at Riyadh Education.
The teachers at the seminar shared their experiences and explored learning difficulties that they faced in classrooms.
This will act as a tool to share information among both teachers and students to contribute to their personal and professional development.
The exhibition also aims to find creative ways to inspire students and use tools besides computer technology as a new way of teaching the national curriculum.
The exhibition comes within the efforts of the Riyadh Education Department to spread awareness among teachers and try their best to make lessons more accessible for students with special needs.
Besides having held the workshop, the Riyadh Education is also organizing similar activities like the ‘Student Partnership Program,’ which adopts the idea of transforming students from being recipients of education systems, to turning them into decision makers.
Besides, the ‘Save Children Lives on Roads” program was recently launched by the Education Department, and was primarily aimed at educating parents and students about road safety.
