A number of sports leaders have said the royal decrees recently issued by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman represent an important means for the support and well-being of citizens and for promoting developmental plans.

The sports leaders were commenting on the decrees appointing Prince Mohammed bin Naif as crown prince and Prince Mohammed bin Salman as deputy crown prince together with other new Cabinet ministers.

Prince Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer, the head of the honorary council of members of Al-Hilal Sports Club, said the selection of the two men came as an extension of wise decisions made by the Saudi leadership in delegating power to qualified individuals.

Prince Bandar said the decrees represent the leadership’s keenness for the continuation of achievements and security in the country.

The head of Al-Shabab Sports Club, Prince Khaled bin Saad, said the royal decrees solidified the pillars of the state and put national unity in the hands of young leaders.

The head of Al-Nasr Sports Club, Prince Faisal bin Turki, said the new appointments would serve the interests of both citizens and the country.

Prince Faisal expressed Al-Nasr’s support and allegiance to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The head of the Jeddah-based Al-Ahli Sports Club, Prince Fahd bin Khaled, said the royal decrees are considered historic and will give the country greater stability and its citizens more comfort and peace of mind.

The head of Al-Hilal Sports Club, Mohammed Al-Homaidani, said the new appointments represented the far-sighted vision and wisdom of King Salman and reflected the outstanding abilities of the two men as leaders and statesmen.

The head of Al-Ittehad Sport Club, Ibrahim Al-Bluwi, said the royal appointments echoed the desire of King Salman to proceed with changes and development and push forward the wheel of progress in the country.

In the Eastern Province, a number of businessmen said the decrees were aimed at providing everything that served the process of construction and development.

Abdullah Al-Behair, a businessman, said the decisions made by King Salman were in favor of the country and the citizens. He stressed that the newly appointed ministers would live up to the responsibilities placed on them and meet the needs of the people of the Kingdom.

Mohammed Al-Marri, another businessman, described the decisions as historic, saying they would serve all segments of the community.
