Namaa Almunawara to open 1,000 new jobs in 6 years

JEDDAH: The Madinah-based Namaa Almunawara company plans to open branches in the next few weeks to sell handicraft and agricultural products carrying the label “Made in Madinah,” says its CEO Ahmed Al-Mahairi.

The company is implementing its strategic plan and targets creation of 1,000 jobs in a six-year period, he said.
The company has approved locations where the new branches will be opened, which are related to initiatives and projects of Namaa Almunawara, he said.
Al-Mahairi said certain quality standards on the company’s products were set in cooperation with the concerned bodies.
The branches will work as major outlets to sell products by young businessmen and women, productive families and owners of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Madinah in a way that will ensure sustainability and growth of their businesses and availability of products to visitors of the holy city, he said.
Deputy CEO (Operations) Yusuf Rafa said the coming months will witness opening of two branches to sell Madinah-manufactured products at the stores planned by the company in the holy city. The first will be located in the courtyard of Al-Qiblatain Mosque while another will be located near the parking area of Al-Khandaq Mosque, he said.
He said each branch will provide products and services on a two-shift basis employing 5-6 staff members, all from Madinah.
Deputy CEO (Strategies) Osama Ashri appreciated the economic and social roles undertaken by Namaa Almunawara through its various projects, including Madinah Creativity Labs, Madinah Service Center, Madinah Industrial Gardens and Madinah Oases.
He said these sustainable projects are being implemented by the people of Madinah under the umbrella of Namaa Almunawara and through the creation of jobs in different specialties targeting citizens of of the holy city.
The strategy of the company is to encourage the role of the Saudi nationals in all branches by treating them as partners through stimulating them with good salary package and giving them certain percentage of sales in next stages of business.
On the products to be provided by the two new branches, he said they vary between rosaries and carpets made by sons and daughters of Madinah in addition to dates grown in Madinah. The products will also include handicraft products and gifts.
He stressed that jobs available in the company will be given to citizens, especially retail sections, who apply through the link http://jobs.nm.sa.
