JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia recorded a slight increase in the number of new coronavirus infections with 326 cases on Wednesday.
The total number of confirmed cases in the Kingdom since the beginning of the pandemic has now risen to 356,067.
According to the Health Ministry, 14 more patients died due to complications caused by the virus bringing the death toll to 5,825.
The ministry also reported 476 new recoveries over the past 24 hours. The total number of people who have recovered from the disease has reached 344,787.
Of the new cases, Riyadh recorded the highest number of cases with 61 followed by Makkah with 27, Madinah with 26, and Jeddah with 17.
The remaining cases were reported from different cities of the Kingdom.
According to the ministry, there were 5,455 active cases, of which 724 were critical.
