D’ Mountaineers edged out league leader Fed X Ally for Team of the Week honors with Imelda Sayago completing a Mountaineers double during the 11th session in the OFBC Friday Morning League Season 1 at the Ice Land Bowling Center.

D’ Mountaineers shut out Flexibowl 20-0 and just missed a perfect 30 after their total pinfalls could only rank second to Fed X.

D’ Mountaineers totaled 2,859 pinfalls to the 2,944 Fed X tallied in an 18-2 shellacking of Mixed Shots which returned total pinfalls of 2,850 for rank points of 8.

Mountaineers and Fed X ended up 1-2 in the total win points tally and 29 and 28 leaving the former with still a lot of catching up to do in the race for the No. 1 spot.

The previous week honoree Lance & 3rdy had another solid display, securing 23 points after beating D’ Luf’s Stikers 16-4 on total pinfalls of 2,744-2,603 and rank points of 7 and 6.

Pair & Spares rebounded from a shutout defeat in the last outing to humble Jandel’s Pride 14-6 on total pinfalls of 2,548-2,504 rank points of 5-3 and total win points of 19-9.

In a match of the cellar dwellers Nomac and D’ Cyclone battled to a 10-10 draw (2,517-2,422 4-2 14-12).

Sayago enjoyed a big game at the helm of Mountaineers to shoot the team’s high score of 605 that gave her the ladies Bowler of the Week award.

Hadi Pacheco and Rene Punzalan backed up Sayago on 589 and 588, while Ric Tibayan added 149-186, George Mangaliman 142-134 and Lourdes Punzalan 129-153 for Mountaineers who joined Fed X and Lance as the only teams to win at least two team awards.

Though beaten for team honors Fed X was not without a prize to take home as team captain Khalid Bustinera collared the men’s Bowler of the Week plum after shooting the high series of 654 on scratch games of 221, 170 and 191.

Khalid’s wife Fedelyn missed a potential double individual award by 2 pins on 603. The others who scored for Fed X were Jimmy Aragones 560, Ally Bin 143-156, Ed Cordova 186-150 and Robert de Guzman 188-192.

Over at Lance Elo Manalo owned the leading score at 602 with Evelyn Santoc on 536, Med Ramos on 531 and skipper Ric Reformado on 519. Jun de Dios contributed 172-149 and Shirley Sagmit had 133.

Akang Victorino showed the way at Pairs with 540 to go with the 494 by team captain Jun Estefano, 476 by Rey Beltran, and 161-224 by Conrad Baltazar.

Nomac got a pair of 515s from skipper Allan Salamanes and Jun Ejanda. Rudy Ramos tossed in 500 while Fuly Primo added 490.
