A week after D’ Barkads flirted with the first perfect score of 40 points in the tournament, Falcon returned to the podium for its second Team of the Week award during the fourth session in the Novarino Inter-Company Bowling League organized by FTBJ (Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Jeddah) at Jeddah Lanes here.

Falcon had the top tally of 37 points behind a strong start, well in front of the pack with Sky Freight-TFC a distant second on 32 points.

The week saw a minor shakeup in the team standings with Alanson taking over first place from Cristal Global and Falcon dislodging D’ Barkads in third.

Also, this FTBJ-ICBL 32nd Conference got a boost with the sponsorship by Alanson, exclusive distributor of Novarino products in the Kingdom, through Akram Benmilled, general manager and Waleed Umail, marketing manager.

Alanson followed Sky Freight on 31.5 points, while Hidada Ltd. and JM Derby compiled 26.5 and 26 points.

Cristal Global was out of sorts and could only muster 21 points on the day at sixth place, while D’ Barkads were even worse on 15.

Jeddah Lanes, Jem Strikers and Lance & 3rdy were the last three teams to check in with 14, 10 and 7 points in that order.

Matet Cavite made it a Falcon double when she clinched the ladies Bowler of the Week plum on 671 on scratch games of 243, 188 and 180.

Falcon, winner of the first won games and overall output, got complete games of 591 and 568 from Rico Nery and Danny Bautista as well as 545 from Maria Sato. Nonie Yap added 213-235 and Ed Labuac 164 for Falcon who became the first repeat weekly winner in the young tournament after also taking the second week honors.

The duo of Rene Santiago and Oca Bernabe delivered solid for Sky Freight on 615 and 595 to go with the 568 by Babes Tiongson, 548 by Imelda Sayago, 181-168 by Emy de Guzman and 199 by Rod Morales.

Nick Gozun was the main man at Alanson after he rolled the high series of 664 on lines of 201, 220 and 243 to become the men’s Bowler of the Week.

Bob Stone supported Gozun on 552 with Jeanette Cerbito on 532 and Marie Gumpal on 531. Igna Salgado contributed 182 and Paolo Allego had 214-183.

Over at Hidada veteran lady bowler Pinky Acato took charge on 583. Rene Martinez and Romy Bunagan shot 573 and 540, Grace Siasoco added 525, Nanding Siasoco 175-199 and Jun Palacios 159.

Alex Flora at 616 was among the few to cross the 600 series while leading the JM Derby, which also received 548 from Susan Patayan, 515 from May Loures, 199-181 from Nap Patayan, 183-206 from Roger Daquioag and 164-147 from Jimmy Mandingiado.
