Suddenly, league leader HBMR Nanding further widened the gap over the chasing pack after a Team of the Week award-winning performance during the seventh session of the Faris Monday Night Bowling League 18th Season at the Jeddah Lanes in Mossadia Plaza here.

HBMR ended the night on 49 points with D’ Barkads, second place in the team standings, on 48 followed by Taurus RDLR 41 and Selecta Ice Cream 41.

Mottawer Engineering and Sarawat Superstores tied on 37 as did Blue Diamond and Boungaville Phil on 22, right behind the Brothers 4ever who pooled 31 points.

MC Hammer and Jeddah Lanes tallied 21 and 20 points, while the Scorpion Knights, Faris Entertainment Centers and Jem Strikers filled the last three spots on 19.5, 16.5 and 9 points in that order.

HBMR owned the highest phantom score of the night, an 873 that included a perfect 300 in the first game as it bucked a modest third game display (9 points out of 14) to pull clear of D’ Barkads in the battle for honors.

Rene Santiago rolled the top score of 671 for HBMR, which won the first game and the overall output for a pair of first-place points of 14. Nonie Yap added 571 to go with the 568 by Nanding Siasoco and 540 by Rene Martinez.

D’ Barkads, winner of the last two games but had a rocky start in eighth position, received 652 from Leo Edejer, 580 from Rey Beltran, 562 from Bonnie Garcia and 561 from Amro Al Amri.

Over at Taurus Nap Patayan shot 610 while Edwin Ronquillo and Raul delos Reyes had matching cards of 604. James Galvan contributed 555.

Selecta had Frank Afurong hitting the leading score of 619 followed by Cris Villavelez 607, Oca Bernabe 584 and Melo Amano 566.

For Mottawer Nawaf Harri led the way on 626. Fahad Al Romaih made 586, while Waheeb Kamfar ad Mohammad Oraif scored 539 and 538.

The scorers at Sarawat were Atoi Cruz 613, Ding dela Rosa 558, Ladio Gonzales 542 and Igna Salgado 502.
