JEDDAH: Lucky Ones grabbed Team of the Week honors at the start of the OFBC Friday Afternoon League Season 7, outscoring everyone else at the Iceland Bowling Center here.
Lucky Ones, co-captained by Alan Ornedo and Jose Antonio, totaled 23 points on the day, beating Amygdala Strikers 17-3 on total pinfalls of 2,575-1,771 and rank points of 6 and 1.
Youngsters of Toto Lim ended up as the second-best team by beating RTJ Baguio Transient House of Joel Nidoy 16-8 on total pinfalls of 2,546-2,306 and ranks points of 5 and 2.
In the other match, Arci-5 of Ely Arciaga brought down Alex Duma’s Spareshots 12-9 (2,366-2,322 4-3).
Rose Agustin made it a Lucky Ones double by winning the ladies’ Bowler of the Week award on 517.
Edwin Agustin was at the helm of the Lucky Ones with his three-game series of 551, followed by Hadi Pacheco on 512 and Johara Palot on 500. Ornedo added 485.
Robert Claudio had 430 and Romy Corpuz 356 in Amygdala’s losing cause.
Dan Garret Mojares shot the high series of 612 to claim the men’s Bowler of the Week plum while helping Youngsters to their initial victory in the five-man team league event of the Overseas Filipino Bowlers Club.
Toto backed up Mojares on 547 with Jaime Flores contributing 501 to go with the 458 by Jeff Magallanes and 428 by Vangie Lim.
Jack Jarin was was the lone RTJ player to cross 500-series on 522 with Malou Nidoy missing the mark by five pins on 495.
Over at Arci-5 Neneth Modar took charge on 544. The other scorers were Nap Patayan 484, Delia Javing 464, Ramon Fabro 454 and Arciaga 420.
Carmen Duma was the leading scorer at Spareshots on 507 with Danny Atubang on 503.
