RIYADH: Mehran and Mazaya Hyderabadi Boys will cross swords in the Super Division final of the inaugural Mumtaz Champions Trophy Cricket tournament, sponsored by Mumtaz Cricket Academy and organized by the Riyadh Cricket League.

In the semifinals played here, Mehran eased past Evergreen Sixers by 33 runs while Mazaya Hyderabadi Boys had to work hard for their 19-run win over Shaheen XI.

In the Premier Division semfinals, Konkan Green got the better of Diamond I by 5 wickets and Run Riders edges past JAMIAA by 16 runs.

The highlights of the day was, outstanding performances by Asad Khan, Fazil, Faiq Rawal, Wajahat, Usman, Rayees, Nawaz, Shibaz, Salah, Faiq, Naaz and Alam

In the first semifinal of Super Division,

Mehran batted first and put up a total of 204 runs. Asad was the top run maker with 65 supported by Osman’s 56. Jamal took 2 wickets.

In reply Evergreen Sixers were never in the hunt as they lost wickets at a regular intervals. Nawaz was their main scorer with 42 runs. Asad and Alam both took two wickets each to clinch an easy win for their team.

In the second semifinal, Mazaya managed to 172 runs. Thanks to a steady innings by Fazil (32) and Asghar (31). Mudassir, Rashed and Farooq took a wicket each.

In reply Shaheen were off to a good start by Khawar (43) and Sikander (22). However, Mazaya came back strongly with quick wickets and won the match by 19 runs. Salah bagged 4 wickets and Fazil 2.

Man-of-the-Match: Fazil.

In the Premier Division, Diamond put up a total of 158 runs.Majid, Feroz and Mazhar scored 32, 30 and 28 respectively. Faiq took 4 and Tausif took 2 wickets.

In reply Konkan easily reached their target through Shaibaz (46) and Tausif (36). Ameer bagged 2 wickets.

Man-of-the-Match: Faiq Rawal.

In the second semis, Run Riders put on board a reasonable 169 runs. Rayees (40), Idris (30) and Wajahath (26) were the main scorers. Naaz took 4 and Mushtaq took 2 wickets respectively.

In reply JAMIAA started well with the match top scorer Mushtaq with 83 runs. Moin supported him with 34. However, rest of the batsmen failed to give them support and wickets fell at regular intervals. Wajahat, Asim and Sameer took 2 wickets each.
