My Care Hala and Dopco Stars scored comfortable wins over Hala Gems and IDB respectively in the Premier Champions Trophy cricket tournament sponsored by Hyundai MYNM and organized by the Western Province Cricket Association.

My Care Hala batted first and put up 224 for 7. Anis Malik (50), Abdullah Essa (36), Babar Hussain (30 not out) and Qamar Abbas (27) made it possible. Moazzam Shoukat took 2 for 32.

Hala Gems got off to a flying start through Moazzam Shoukat (86) and Amir Sajjad (47) who put on 113 for the first wicket. Once the openers were separated none of the other batsmen offered resistance and were stranded at 203 for 7 for My Care Hala to win by 21 runs. Yusuf took 3 for 27 and Babar Hussain 3 for 43.

In the other match, IDB batted first and finished with 99 for 9.

Shoaib Ali grabbed 5 for 30 runs and Asim 2 for 12.

Dopco Stars reached their target and scored 100 for 3 wickets to win by 7 wkts. Abduljabbar took 2 for 37.

In the first afternoon quarterfinal, UCC racked up 191 for 6 through Shahnawaz (49), Mehmood (34) Irfan Ghulam and Sarfaraz( 26) each. Manjeet scalped 2 for 33.

Al Safree XI lost wickets at regular intervals. Saeed (36) Rehan (28) and Shakeel (46) tried to make a fight of it but lost by 18 runs. Shahnawaz Khan took 3 for 31, Sarfaraz 2 for 35, Zahid Mehmood 2 for 37 and Yasir 2 for 40 shared the wickets.

In the second quarterfinal, AMI Juffali batted first and were restricted to 147. Imran Gafour top-scored with 65. Haroon Zahid took 2 for 26. Nestle Milo in reply scored 148 for 4 to enter the semis.

Faiyyaz (27) and Abdullah Zahid (54) were the main scorers.

In the morning session, QRCC piled up 187 for 3 through Abdulrauf (83), Zahid (40). Jameel took 2 for 51. In reply, Al Kabbani crashed for 65 to lose by 122 runs. Iqbal Shaikh took 3 for 20, Usman3 for 18, Yasir 2 for 14 and Nasir 2 for 12.

AAA put on board 142 for 6 through Asghar (67). Ziad took 3 for 21. Rapidtech responded with 121 for 8. Tauseef (39) and Shoaid (37) did their best. Fakher took 4 for 23 and Yaseen 3 for 21.

Orbital Horizon plundered 190 for 6 through Faisal (87) and Tahir (62). Both were involved in a 163-run partnership, which came off 87 balls. Amjad took 3 for 23 and Saif 3 for 27. Mercedes Benz replied with 189 for 4 and lost by one run. Jibran (55), Saif (42) and Amir (42 not out) were the main scorers.

M Q Group racked up 197 for 5 against Jeddah Royals. Mohsin (67) Babar (41) and Shakeel (52) impressed. Sohail took 2 for 33 and Iftikhar 2 for 27.

Jeddah Royals reached the target and scored 198 for 5. Ibrahim top -scored with 65 runs. Sohail remained unbeaten on 46. Zahid took 2 for 33 and Babar 2 for 44.
