JEDDAH: In SIFF Rabea Tea A division, reigning champion TSS Real Kerala FC defeated Nadec Blue Star B by 2-0.

Both teams already advanced to semifinals and fought for top of the group table. Blue Star could have been topper with a draw but didn’t rise to occasion and its striker Ahmed Parammel and midfielder Riyas didn’t get support from others. Meantime, Nishad Kolakkadan, the gifted striker of Real Kerala, hit outstanding form and created panic in Blue Star goalmouth with his pace and dribbling skill.

In the 7th minute, Nishad paced alone from right flank and crossed to unmarked Kochu, but he failed to utilize it.

Real Kerala midfielder Ramees Ahmed spearheaded most of their attacks but front liners couldn’t convert opportunities in early first half. Real Kerala’s first goal was a piece of class. From left outside corner of penalty box Nishad’s stunning full volley dropped in left top corner of post without giving any chance to Blue Star keeper 1-0. In second half, SirajuddinPeringoli who shifted position to striker scored for Real Kerala FC 2-0. Two goals down, Blue Star B didn’t come back to the game and Real Kerala dominated the second half.

Game was totally in Blue Star area and from Blue star side, only AshiqParammal gave some resistance with few attempts.

In A division, ACC B already qualified and semis lineup will be decided only after next match between Zabin FC and Blue Star A. League round will be completed by next week.

Ramees Ahmed of Real Kerala was named as man of the match and received trophy from Rifa President Basheer Chelambra.

In C division non-bearing match, FC Quwaisa defeated Youth India FC by 1-0. Both teams, debutants in SIFF tournament, were eliminated having lost previous games. Youth India FC’s veteran striker, Muneer Musliarakath who was playing his farewell match, couldn’t finish it with a win. JameshPuthanPurakkal of FC Quwaisa was named man of the match and received trophy from Ali Koshani.
