6 dance shows to attend at Dubai’s Expo 2020

Expo 2020 Dubai will introduce visitors to traditional dances from around the world through a series of performances throughout the six-month event. Here are some shows to look out for. 

  1. Malaysian moves

    Malaysia’s pavilion is presenting a host of performances every day that showcase the country’s diverse heritage, with a variety of traditional music and dance.
  2. Moroccan Popular Event
    Moroccan Popular Event
    The Moroccan Pavilion is putting on a daily show that presents traditional dances and music performed at weddings, parties and festivals throughout the country.
  3. Manuel Liñán
    Manuel Liñán
    Manuel Liñán is a renowned Flamenco dancer. For his performance on Nov. 30 at the Spanish pavilion, he will be joined by singer David Carpio from Jerez, in a conceptual Flamenco show that moves between tradition and the avant-garde.
  4. Hungarian show

    On Dec. 2, trumpet player Barabás Lörinc will present a show that blends dance grooves and meditative moods, while juggling keyboards, trumpet, effects and more. 
  5. Rocky Mountain Ballet Theater
    Rocky Mountain Ballet Theater
    The Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre, which started in 1998, will come to the US pavilion on Dec. 9 for a ballet performance.

    The Tribal Beats festival, held from Dec. 16-18 will be a cultural celebration that will represent communities from Mali to Mauritania, China to South Africa and more.
