‘Spacetoons’
Situated at Jeddah’s Athr gallery, this exhibition features eleven emerging artists from the Gulf who mediate sci-fi-futurist tropes, internet references and shifting landscapes. It is on show until Sept. 30, 2021.‘Vantage Point’
On Sept. 18, the Sharjah Art Foundation’s annual photography initiative returns for its ninth iteration, featuring 200 images across various categories.‘Building Blocks’
Currently underway at Tunisia’s B7L9 Art Station is the Iraqi artist Zaineb Hasoon-curated group show, which brings together different artists from the MENA region.‘Roundabout’
Curated by Rotana Shaker, participating artists include Ahaad Alamoudi, Moza Almazrouei, Lulua Alyahya and Sarah Brahim. The exhibition is taking place at Jeddah’s Athr gallery until Sept. 30.‘The Distance From Here’
The exhibition, which kicks off Sept. 8 at the Jameel Arts Center in Dubai, features 11 artists whose works investigate space and time through their personal experiences.‘Seeing and Perceiving’
On view until March 26, 2022, this exhibition is Dhahran’s King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture’s first since reopening to the public after COVID-19. It features 26 artworks by 20 artists that explore the way viewers see and perceive the world.
