Syrian couturier Rami Al-Ali has unveiled his Spring 2022 couture collection via a short film during Paris Haute Couture Week. Read on for the six takeaways from the Dubai-based label’s new offering.
Ode to spring

The 22-piece collection explores the beauty of landscapes as they evolve from one season to another, as per the show notes.
Red carpet ready

There are plenty of designs that are made for glamorous red carpets to come. A deep V-neck, sleeveless black dress with a bouffant skirt in silk tulle and pastel color embellishments has the Oscars written all over it.
Pastel color palette

Mint green, citron yellow, pale rose and icy blues are thoughtfully balanced with black to provide a level of contrast and a moody undertone.
Luxurious fabrics

Delicate and rich fabrics such as muslin, tulle, satin, silk and organza lend lightness to the collection.
Expert handiwork

The couturier’s craftsmanship is showcased through the inclusion of crystals and intricate beads in geometric patterns that give the illusion they are melting off the gowns.
Sculptural tailoring

The offering is punctuated with delicate yet beautifully structured shapes in the form of standing collars and layered skirts. Silhouettes dance between sleek cylinder forms to voluminous multi-layer skirts.
