Celebrities we lost due to COVID-19

As the coronavirus death toll rises to over 283,000, we look back at the celebrities we lost due to complications from the infectious disease to celebrate their lasting legacies.

    Roy Horn
    German-born magician Roy Horn was famous for his popular, long-running Las Vegas act “Siegfried & Roy” built around rare tigers. He starred alongside German tricker Siegfried Fischbacher. The 75-year-old entertainer died on May 8.

    Manu Dibango
    The Cameroon saxophonist was most famous for his hit song “Soul Makossa” that was on Western pop charts. He died in March at the age of 86 due to coronavirus complications.
  4. Sergio Rossi
    Sergio Rossi
    The Italian luxury shoemaker died on April 3 aged 85 after being hospitalized with COVID-19. His shoes, known for their use of geometrics and color, were a mainstay at fashion weeks.  
  5. Adam Schlesinger
    Adam Schlesinger
    The Grammy award-winning singer was known for his music with his band Fountains of Wayne, which was formed in 1995 in New York. The 52-year-old died on April 1. 
  6. Eddie Large
    Eddie Large
    The British comedian was most famous for his show “Little and Large.” The 78-year-old actor died on April 2 after contracting coronavirus in hospital while being treated for heart failure.
