As Lebanese-Australian model Jessica Kahawaty launches her new food venture, here are other influencers in the region who have, over the past few years, kickstarted their own businesses.

    Mina Al-Sheikhly

    The Iraqi Dubai-based influencer launched her own beauty brand, By Mina Al-Sheikhly, in July. She has, so far, introduced two new mascaras to makeup lovers.

  2. Eljammi
    Eljammi

    The Dubai-based influencer opened her beauty salon, Glamjam Beauty Bar, in July. It is not her first beauty venture, however — she has previously launched a makeup academy in Dubai, but it closed earlier this year.

  3. Yas
    Yas

    The Dubai-based singer, dancer and choreographer opened her music and dance studio Yas Music Dance in 2019. She gives classes in hip hop, ballet, jazz funk and more.

    Ola Farahat

    The Palestinian blogger has her own online shopping store. Own the Looks features collections curated by influencers around the world. 

  5. Maya Ahmad
    Maya Ahmad

    The Lebanese social media star has a jewelry brand called Myne, which she launched in 2018. The brand offers necklaces that feature crystals, stones and horoscope signs.

    Ascia

    The Kuwaiti influencer owns two diverse businesses: Desert Baby, a brand that sells baby and toddler products, and Seoul Kool, a Korean beauty brand.
