This fall Dubai Opera will host a series of diverse performances for the country’s international community.
‘Turandot’
In its Middle East debut, Shanghai Opera House presents the Puccini opera, featuring “Nessun Dorma,” one of most famous tenor arias ever.
‘Early Spring’
The dance drama, also by Shanghai Opera House, will showcase a combination of complicated technical and physical dance routines while paying homage to China’s traditional roots.
‘Gladiator’
The Academy Award-winning film “Gladiator” will play at Dubai Opera with a live symphony orchestra concert performing the original score in sync with the film.
‘Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban’
Orchestral musicians will present pieces from the score of “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” while parts of the movie play in the background.
‘Much Ado About Nothing’
The New English Shakespeare Company, which puts a modern spin on William Shakespeare, presents the playwright’s most popular comedy of errors, “Much Ado About Nothing.”
‘A Tribute to Dalida’
The Palestinian singer Lina Sleibi will present the Egyptian-French singer Dalida’s pieces. She will sing her greatest hits in Arabic, English, Italian and French.
