Last week, Beirut-born designer Georges Chakra presented his newest couture collection for Spring 2020 at the Petit Palais in Paris. Here are the standout looks from the 47-piece offering.

  1. Coming up roses
    Coming up roses

    Each guest was presented with a white rose to symbolize freedom in Lebanon. The floral motif would go on to punctuate the collection via flower appliques and hand-painted prints.

  2. Pretty in pink
    Pretty in pink

    The harmonious white color palette was punctuated with varying punches of pink, from pastel peony to shocking flamingo hues.

  3. That 70s show
    That 70s show

    Leggy evening dresses in saturated hues served as a sartorial nod to the 1970s era of fashion.

  4. Beyond the veil
    Beyond the veil

    A handful of models emerged on the runway wearing sheer veils to symbolize “purity” and light,  according to the show notes.

  5. Fashion for a cause
    Fashion for a cause

    The last look was accessorized with a glittering emerald and diamond necklace by Lebanese jeweler Fawaz Gruosi, which will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds going to the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon and scholarships at the Ecole Saint Vincent de Paul.
