Six films shot in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia had a starring role in several productions for Hollywood, Bollywood and Middle East cinema. Here are six movies that were shot in the Kingdom.

    ‘Riverman’

    NEOM is to host the filming of the upcoming Hollywood thriller “Riverman,” a high-impact action feature written and directed by Academy Award-winning screenwriter and director Terry George.

  2. ‘Kandahar’
    ‘Kandahar’

    Hollywood star Gerard Butler’s upcoming action thriller “Kandahar,” set for release on May 26, was shot in AIUla region.

  3. ‘The Matchmaker’
    ‘The Matchmaker’

    Netflix’s Saudi psychological thriller “The Matchmaker,” which stars actors Hussam Alharthy, Nour Al-Khadra and Reem Al-Habib, was also shot in AlUla.

    Saudi Arabia did not just attract US production houses — Bollywood filmmakers also have their eyes on the Kingdom. “Dunki,” starring Shah Rukh Khan, is also being filmed in NEOM.
