Used to describe the outbreak of spots and bad skin sometimes triggered by constant mask-wearing, banish “maskne” with these tips. 

  1. Keep your mask clean
    Keep your mask clean

    Only use your mask once if it is disposable. If you wear cloth shields, make sure to wash them regularly. Oils, dirt and dead skin cells can get trapped under the mask and cause breakouts.

  2. Moisturize

    Apply your favorite hydrating moisturizer after you wash your face. Experts advise to use gel moisturizers if you have oily skin, lotion if you have normal to combination skin and cream if you have dry skin.

  3. Avoid new skincare

    Take a break from your mask for 15 minutes every four hours. Make sure to only remove your mask if it is safe to do so.
