The UAE-based NSO Symphony Orchestra will perform world-famous film music, from the classics to contemporary tunes, at Dubai Opera’s Movie Music Gala on Feb. 20.

The orchestra will play the iconic theme song composed and conducted by American composer John Williams in 1977.‘Pirates of the Caribbean’
Walt Disney records released the official soundtrack album in 2003 with music from the widely popular film. The swashbuckling songs were composed by Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer.‘Gladiator’
The original score and songs of the 2000 blockbuster were composed by Zimmer and Australian musician Lisa Gerrard. The album won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score in 2001.‘The King’s Speech’
To add to the exciting list of songs, the orchestra will play the second movement (Allegretto) of Beethoven’s 7th symphony, which was played at the climax of the historical drama.‘Pink Panther’
The instrumental composition was written by American composer Henry Mancini for the 1963 film. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Score in 1965.‘The Magnificent Seven’
The theme song of the 1960 western film was composed by American conductor and composer Elmer Bernstein.
