I read with interest the article “Conspiring against BDS” (April 5) by Ramzy Baroud. It is really sad to note that the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel is gathering pace only in the West but not in the Muslim world. We should also join hands with the organizers of the BDS movement to wage a nonviolent struggle against the Zionist regime in the Middle East and for the rights of our Palestinian brothers. All companies who in one way or the other benefit Israel should be boycotted. We should not expect our governments to do everything for us. We can take such initiatives on our own by not purchasing products of pro-Zionist firms. That is the best we can do in our limited capacity but such steps will have a far-reaching impact on the future of Israeli economy. — Ghazala Shaheen, Jubail
