Khalid Al-Bayari, acting CEO of Saudi Telecom Company (STC), met with the CEO of CISCO SYSTEMS, John Chambers, recently and discussed the ways to enhance the communications and IT industry in Saudi Arabia. The meeting held in Riyadh was attended by a group of influential communications and IT leaders from both the government and private sectors.
The discussion highlighted opportunities availed by the Internet to individuals and businesses in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, and the major changes in the technology sector. These include video, cloud computing structure, travel and security that influences commercial transactions worldwide, including those performed in the Kingdom.
Through such activities, STC seeks to meet with professionals, experts, technicians and representatives of world manufacturers and providers of services, applications, wireless solutions, mobile data devices and smart phones. This in turn impacts STC customers by provision of the latest smart technologies of smart digital systems and devices, cable and wireless network equipment and remote data transmission and exchange applications and solutions.
