Players arrive safely in Rostov after minor technical fault with plane: Saudi football federation

JEDDAH: The Saudi Arabian Football Federation said everyone is safe after a minor technical fault with the plane carrying the team to Rostov, in Russia. 

A video, which appeared on social media, showed a fire on one of the aircraft’s engines.

In a Twitter post, the federation confirmed the team had landed safely in Rostov, where they will play Group A favorites Uruguay in the World Cup on Wednesday.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan visits Prophet’s Mosque in Saudi Arabia

JEDDAH: Pakistani Prime Minister, Imran Khan, visited on Tuesday the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah for prayer as part of his first official state visit since assuming office.
He was received at the Prophet’s Mosque by the commander of the security force of the mosque Brig. Gen. Muzli Abdulrahman Al-Mashhadan, the deputy head of the affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque in charge of Sheikh Saleh bin Khalid Al-Muzaini, and a number of officials in the General Presidency Agency for the Prophet’s Mosque.
Khan arrived in Saudi Arabia earlier on Tuesday following an invitation from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Press Agency reported.
