Saudi Air Force jet crashes in southern Asir region due to technical failure

RIYADH: A Saudi Arabian Royal Air Force Tornado jet came down in Asir region in the early hours of Thursday morning, according to Arab Coalition spokesman Col. Turki Al-Maliki.

The aircraft was returning from a training mission when it crashed in the southern region due to a technical failure, Al-Maliki said.

The two pilots on board the aircraft survived the crash.

NEW YORK: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture took part in a preservation of culture event organized by the United Nations on Tuesday.
The Culture and Sustainable Development conference was held at the UN headquarters in New York with an international delegation and in conjunction with UNESCO’s “World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.”
Dr. Afnan bint Abdullah Al-Shuaibi, the general supervisor for International Relations at the Ministry of Culture, delivered the Kingdom’s speech at the conference in which she affirmed that culture is an essential part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
