First Chevrolet Bolt EV deliveries begin in UAE

The Chevrolet Bolt EV has finally arrived to the brand’s dealerships across the UAE.
Customers in the UAE can now visit showrooms to book a test drive and experience Chevrolet’s revolutionary way to drive electric.
Liberty Automobiles, one of the official Chevrolet dealers in the UAE, kick-started deliveries this month as they handed over the keys to the first Bolt EV customer, Saeed Obaid Juma Al-Leem Al-Ali. An Emirati national, Al-Ali aspires to live more sustainably and his Chevrolet Bolt EV purchase is serving as a huge step on his journey to achieve this personal goal.
He said: “Having been a Chevrolet fan over the last few years, I always keep a close eye on their new model introductions, however, the Chevrolet Bolt EV was one that I was particularly excited about due to its green credentials.”

This car is the product of exceptional electric engineering with zero compromise on performance or comfort and I’m looking forward to finally driving it on the roads.”
I feel very strongly about investing in a more sustainable future, constantly making adjustments to my lifestyle, and the Chevrolet Bolt EV is a big step in the right direction.”
The Chevrolet Bolt EV is the brand’s first electric vehicle in the region and the first electric vehicle ever to combine clean technology with an anxiety-free range of over 500km on a single charge.
Molly Peck, chief marketing officer at General Motors — Middle East, said: “Since its reveal to the region in November of last year, our Chevrolet Bolt EV has received an overwhelmingly positive response and we have no doubt this will increase as vehicles continue to arrive across our showrooms in the region.”

Emirates Aviation University woos global students

Emirates Aviation University has introduced an international student study package, offering financial benefits and support to international students.

The package includes 20 percent savings on costs for university accommodation, 15 percent discount on program fees, and a complimentary economy class return ticket per year on Emirates. The package will also offer the students free services for three persons from Marhaba, a passenger services provider, free hotel accommodation for two adults for three days as well as a waiver for all visa administration charges.

Dr. Ahmad Al-Ali, vice chancellor of Emirates Aviation University, said: “Getting your kids settled in a new university and city can be a difficult task for many parents. The special package will give parents peace of mind and ensure a stress-free experience, as they help their children settle in Dubai. With the new benefits, students can easily visit their parents and enjoy a comfortable lifestyle while pursuing their academic and career goals at Emirates Aviation University.”

Studying abroad helps students develop powerful personal and professional relationships, long-lasting cultural ties, find new interests and experience life from a different perspective.

“Emirates Aviation University believes that education is greatly enhanced by experience and exposure to different, real-life perspectives, and thus supports its students and provides them with the best tools to benefit from unique opportunities academically and in personal development,” the university said.

The university offers an extensive range of aviation-related specializations. Students can choose from vocational, undergraduate and postgraduate programs that combine the highest standard of academics with the latest development in the field of aviation. The programs are offered in collaboration with Coventry University in the UK and accredited by different national and international institutions, including last year’s accreditation from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) as a Maintenance Training Organization.

Emirates Aviation University is the academic wing of the Emirates Group and one of the region’s most prestigious universities. It is also one of the Middle East’s leading educational institutions for aviation programs. Growing from a small college to a full-fledged university in 2014, it offers more than 35 programs in various fields of study. This growth underscores the demand for quality higher education in the UAE.

Emirates Aviation University recently announced a new six-month internship program with the Emirates Group for students who demonstrate extraordinary academic performance. The coveted program will help students combine academic study with practical, applied experience relevant to their education and career plans.

Students who enroll from Fall 2019 onwards will be eligible for the internship program in their final year of education.
