MAKKAH, 14 April 2006 — The Makkah police cracked down on a house of ill repute and arrested one 50-year-old man and three Asian women. The man was the father of one of the women.

According to the police, the father and daughter came to Saudi Arabia on an Umrah visa. The man convinced his daughter to stay in the Kingdom illegally. The father convinced his daughter that the only way out of poverty would be for him to pimp her off to customers.

The daughter agreed and started working with him. The man later recruited two other women and added them to the prostitution ring.

The daughter told Arab News that she had dreams of marrying, but that they were shattered after she agreed to her father’s proposition.

Her father promised her that they would build their house and have their own farm back home after two years. The women were charging SR150 for tricks inside the house and SR500 if they had to go to another location.

The woman said that her father believed in acquiring easy money. One of the two women said that the man convinced her for the job for a percentage of the take.
