South Indian Carnatic vocalist Sanjay Subrahmanyan is set to perform in Bahrain on March 5.
The concert will take place at the Bahrain Society of Engineers Hall in Juffair.

Among the foremost of the younger generation of Indian classical musicians who stormed the country in the nineties, the Chennai-based star is regarded as one of the most serious, popular and sought after of Carnatic vocal artistes.
Over the years Sanjay has built a vast repertoire in all compositional forms of Carnatic music be they varnams, krithis, viruttams padams, javalis bhajans, folk, tillanas etc. covering all the four southern dialects and spanning modern and period composers.
He is especially popular for his showcasing of ancient Tamil compositions in which he has done rigorous research. He is also popular for his Swathi Thirunal compositions which breathe new life into the poetry of the maharajah-poet of Kerala
