After a busy month of March tournament golf never stops at Dirab Golf & Country Club with the staging of the 9th Annual Zahid Group Open Golf Tournament 2015 on Friday.
The event which never fails to attract a full field of players since its inception will have a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.
As of press time, a total of 112 golfers have registered including members of the Saudi national team to see action in the GCC Championship this month in Kuwait.
Saudi Arabia’s men’s national team standouts teeing it up Friday are Othman Almullah, Faisal Salhab, Ali Al Sakha, Fahad Almansour and the grand old man of Saudi golf Ali Belharith.
Their participation in the tournament forms part of preparations for the forthcoming regional tournament where the Kingdom will enter teams in both the men’s and junior divisions.
There will be three divisions for men and one divison for ladies. Participants will each receive a goody bag that contains golf shirt, cap, a sleeve of golf balls and towel courtesy by Zahid Group.
