The electronic media of Pakistan really needs to grow up. Its immature approach toward covering events and breaking news is hilarious. At a time, when the country is facing so many issues, our media is busy discussing Imran Khan’s personal life and interviewing his wife. Another irritating trend that I have noticed is the way some television program hosts or anchorpersons conduct raids at various places and try to act as judges of a court of law. This is not the job of a journalist. A journalist is supposed to expose wrong things and then he should leave the matter for the courts to decide.

Our TV anchors start shouting at alleged culprits and start giving them lectures. Sometimes, these anchors put their lives in harm's way, which is wrong. War reporting is a different thing. Routine reporting should not be sensationalized the way our television channels do. — Rafiq Ahmed, Dammam
