JEDDAH: Host team ICD won the ICD (Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector) 15th anniversary football tournament, beating KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) on penalty kicks during the final match Wednesday night at IDB football ground here.
The match ended 2-2 after the regulation and extra time. In the penalty shootout ICD beat KAUST three goals to one.
ICD, the private sector arm of the Islamic Development Bank Group organized the second Islamic and international organizations football championship.
High ranking officials of the corporation and other dignitaries from international organizations were present during the awards ceremony.
