Gulf Air gears up to launch Multan, Faisalabad services

In its countdown to this month’s Multan and Faisalabad launch, Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, is witnessing strong advance bookings for both routes’ first three months of operation with a 5,000-strong advance ticket take-up ahead of this month’s launch of the service.
Gulf Air will operate four weekly direct flights to Multan starting on Dec. 14 and three weekly direct flights to Faisalabad starting from Dec. 22.
Gulf Air Chief Commercial Officer Ahmed Janahi said: “We are delighted with the interest that these two new routes have garnered in advance of their launch later this month and we are pleased to serve the Pakistan market with the addition of Multan and Faisalabad.”
Taking the airline’s total Pakistan destinations up to seven, Multan and Faisalabad will supplement Gulf Air’s current service to five cities in Pakistan: Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, Peshawar and Sialkot. Gulf Air flights to Multan and Faisalabad will be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft.
Flights can be booked online, by calling the airline’s 24 hour worldwide contact center or through any Gulf Air sales offices and approved travel agencies.
Gulf Air commenced operations in 1950, becoming one of the first commercial airlines established in the Middle East.
Today, Gulf Air is a major international carrier serving 43 cities in 24 countries spanning three continents. The airline operates one of the largest networks in the Middle East, with double daily flights to over 10 regional cities, from its hub at Bahrain International Airport. Gulf Air serves all its destinations with a combination wide and narrow body fleet totaling 28 modern aircraft.
Gulf Air was the title sponsor of the 2015 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix and is the official airline of the Bahrain International Airshow 2016.
