KUWAIT, 5 June — Kuwait Airways Corporation (KPC) said Sunday that it presented “the commercial traveling gate project on the Internet” during the 34th meeting of the Arab Airline Carrier Organization (AACO) in Doha. KPC’s Public Relations and Media Department Director, Adel Bourassli said in a press release that the project discussed during the meeting is a new mean that contains several programs and services on the Internet over travel and tourism. He added that these services exist in one site, where the traveler can book the tickets, reserve in hotels and rent a car using the computer. Bourassli pointed out that KPC proposed this gate to the Arab Aviation Companies that are members in the organization so the economic cooperation mechanisms could be discussed. The Automated Systems Company is specialized in the technician of the information in the tourism and travel fields, where Kuwait owns 67 percent of the company and the private sector owns the remaining percentage. Bourassli pointed out that the airline companies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states met on the sidelines of meeting during which the coordination and cooperation means have been discussed, in addition to the mutual interests.
