60 percent of GMCA students are girls: Report

AJMAN, 11 August — Gulf Medical College in the UAE emirate of Ajman has received a lot of applications for admission from female students total, according to a report issued by the college. “Sixty percent of GMCA students are girls,” the report pointed out.

The report said the largest of 60 percent students came from the UAE and other Arab countries. The GMCA was established in 1998 by a decree of Sheikh Humaid ibn Rashid Al-Nuaimi, a member of the Supreme Council and ruler of Ajman. “GMCA provides world class medical facilities and offers MBBS and bachelor of physiotherapy (BPT) courses to students of all nationalities, both boys and girls,” the report said. The college is in the process of admitting the fourth batch of students to the MBBS course and the second batch BPT course.The college admits 100 students to the MBBS course and 40 to BPT course every year. The GMCA is distinguished for its laboratories, lecture halls equipped with audio and video facilities and a good library with 60 computers with 24-hour Internet connections.
