MAKKAH, 24 August  — Indonesian labor authorities are demanding $200 (SR750) for the recruitment of each maid and driver from the country. The regulation has hampered the recruitment of some 30,000 Indonesian maids to Saudi Arabia. Recruitment of an Indonesian maid or driver will now cost a Saudi SR3,150. A member of the Council of Saudi Chambers said that the issue has been presented to the authorities.
