KARACHI, 31 August — The chief of the Pakistan military intelligence Lt. Gen. Mahmood Ahmad, will be visiting the United States in September for talks with the American CIA chief George Tenet on issues of Afghanistan and its current leadership, the Taleban, the Jang Urdu daily reported yesterday. It claimed that Tenet had already been to Pakistan on a secret mission, but had failed to force a change in Islamabad’s thinking on the subject. Whether the question of Pakistan’s help in seeking repatriation of Osama Bin Laden from Afghanistan will also be taken up, has not been revealed.
