JEDDAH, 14 September — Haj Minister Iyad Madani held talks here yesterday with the Turkish Haj delegation led by Muhammad Noor Yilmaz, chairman of religious affairs, on the arrangements for Turkish pilgrims. The talks covered transportation and accommodation of the pilgrims as well as the measures to be taken to enhance their Haj awareness. The two sides signed an agreement after the meeting. Madani hosted a dinner on Wednesday in honor of the Haj delegations from Turkey, Syria, Bangladesh, Ghana and Guinea. (SPA)
Kingdom signs loan deals with Yemen
SANAA, 14 September — Saudi Arabia and Yemen signed two loan deals worth SR187.5 million on Wednesday. The Saudi Fund for Development will provide the loans to develop and expand two electricity power plants in Sanaa and Aden, Okaz reported yesterday. The deals were signed by Yemeni Planning and Development Minister Ahmad Soufan and Vice President of SFD Yousuf Al-Bassam.
