RIYADH, 13 September - The SR1.7 billion Kingdom Center, which will opened to the public on Sept. 22, will feature an exclusive ladies' mall to be served by over 300 women. Overall, there will be around 1,500 new job opportunities.

Walter Kleinschmit, general manager at the Kingdom Center, told a press conference on Tuesday evening that the center would be fully operational by November and the Kingdom Tower by January next year.

Situated at the junction of King Fahd Road and Al-Aruba Street, the luxurious high-rise facility will occupy a total land area of 94,250 sqm.

Referring to the women's mall, he said a distinctive feature was that while it was integrated with the rest of the shopping complex, it still offered full privacy to the female shoppers who would be served by an all-female workforce comprising salesgirls, female security and maintenance staff.

The mall will have 120 retail shops, 26 pavilions and 20 retail food stalls.
