JEDDAH, 18 October — The Ministry of Education (MoE) has not accepted Abdul Rahim Ismail’s resignation as chairman of the managing committee of International Indian School-Jeddah (IISJ). This was conveyed to him in a communication sent by Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al-Howaimil, director general of education, Makkah region, earlier this week. The communication referring to his resignation as the chairman of the IISJ’s managing committee effective from Sept. 26, 2001, said an inquiry was being conducted into the related issues. “We regret your resignation is not accepted until further notice,” Howaimil added.
