JEDDAH, 9 November — An unemployed expat committed suicide by dowsing petrol on himself and his wife and then setting himself alight. The incident occurred at the clinic where his wife was working as a nurse. The wife is now being treated in the King Fahd hospital for serious burns. An eyewitness said the man came to the clinic with a small can full of petrol and asked to speak to his wife. When she approached, the husband poured petrol on her and then took out a cigar lighter to start the fire before any one could stop him, reported Okaz yesterday.
