JEDDAH, 11 November — Saudi Arabian Airlines has signed an agreement with the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs to transport 150,000 pilgrims for the upcoming Haj.
According to the agreement signed last Tuesday, Saudia will carry pilgrims from Jakarta, Surabaya and Batam to Jeddah and Madinah.
Meanwhile, Haj Minster Iyad Madani received his counterpart from Mauritius, Shaukat Sudahan, and his accompanying delegation in Jeddah yesterday.
They reviewed matters pertaining to the accommodation, transportation and other issues related to the welfare of pilgrims from Mauritius.
They also discussed the instructions to be given to the pilgrims before they set out to the holy cities.
Both sides discussed the general outline of the services to be offered to the pilgrims by the Tawafa establishments and the General Car Syndicate from the moment of their arrival in the Kingdom until their departure after the completion of Haj rituals.
