JEDDAH, 21 November — Makkah Governor Prince Abdul Majeed has announced the government’s plan to set up district councils in Makkah, Jeddah and Taif. He said the councils comprising prominent personalities in the area will deal with social issues. Addressing the annual ceremony of Al-Birr Charitable Society in Jeddah on Monday, Prince Abdul Majeed said the district councils established in Madinah were successful in solving many social problems.
