JEDDAH, 24 November — Snoring is one of the main causes of impotency among men over the age of 40, according to the latest research quoted by Dr. Farouk Safwat of the Saudi German Hospital.
"A recent study has revealed that 10 percent of people who snore suffer from impotency," Safwat told Okaz Arabic daily. "Acute snoring might even result in the death of a person as it can cause a brain hemorrhage." Dr. Safwat added that early diagnosis and treatment of the disease might lead to a permanent cure.
"Women suffer from snoring more than men," Safwat said, and he urged people to take the matter more seriously.
