JEDDAH, 4 December — The Ministry of Industry and Electricity has set up a committee to find speedy solutions to the problems facing two biscuit factories in Jeddah, whose 160 workers have been staging a strike for the past five months. The employees stopped working when the company’s management failed to pay their salaries for 13 months. The resident permits of the 120 workers have expired and the company has not taken any action to renew them, informed sources told Arab News.
