MAKKAH, 16 December — The number of cars that entered the holy city since the beginning of the month of Ramadan on Nov. 16 until yesterday was 2,508,405 while 2,232,021 cars left the city, according to statistics released by King Fahd Center for Haj Research. The center makes a complete survey of vehicles entering the holy city during Haj and Ramadan every year. The study also noted that the highest number of cars traveled on the Jeddah-Makkah highway. The peak hours of entry and exit were between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. and midnight respectively
