RIYADH, 1 January — Riyadh Governor Prince Salman visited former Bosnian President Alija Izetbegovic at King Faisal Specialist Hospital here yesterday. Izetbegovic, 76, was flown to the Kingdom on Saturday for treatment, a day after he was admitted to a Sarajevo hospital with heart problems for the second time in a month. He was still in intensive care yesterday but his condition was stable, a hospital official said. The official at the cardiac unit of KFSH said Izetbegovic was suffering from weak heart muscles due to a blocked artery. "He’s still under constant observation but he is recovering," the official added.
