RIYADH, 17 January — Documents ratifying a free trade agreement between the Kingdom and Syria were exchanged at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here yesterday. The agreement will come into force 15 days after the exchange of the documents, according to a ministry statement. Under the agreement, all curbs excluding customs taxes on movement of commodities and products between the two countries will be removed with immediate effect, the statement said. It added that agricultural produce will be fully exempted from custom tariffs and taxes. (SPA)
