RIYADH, 18 January — Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, held talks with William Burns, US assistant secretary of state for Near East affairs, who is currently touring the region, at the crown prince’s farm in Janadriah near here yesterday. The crown prince also received a telephone call from Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Wednesday. They discussed the situation in the region and issues of mutual interest. (SPA)
