RIYADH, 21 January — The government is considering introducing new legislation that would restrict jobs at female tailor shops to Saudi women. Dr. Abdul Wahid Al-Humaid, secretary-general of the Manpower Council, told Arab News that the move was planned to create more jobs for Saudi women. The Saudization of jobs at tailor shops would not be limited to supervision. The move comes as part of the government’s efforts to create 70,000 jobs for Saudi women.
