RIYADH, 28 January — Transactions through ATMs and points of sale in the Kingdom reached SR147.2 billion last year, an increase of SR20.5 billion over the year 2000, according to a report released by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency. Customers withdrew SR137 billion with the help of ATM cards in 219 million operations last year compared to SR119 billion in 2000, the SAMA report said.
